Newsletter Special June 2014

The Caravan Gallery in Inverbervie during our Aberdeenshire Ways tour at the end of last year
Greetings from The Caravan Gallery HQ

ACE STRATEGIC TOURING GRANT

We are over the moon to have received an Arts Council Strategic Touring Fund grant to tour an exhibition of images from our archive supported by a participatory Pride of Place Project  to six places around the country from Spring 2015.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with the following organisations:
Sunderland - NGCA, Cardiff - Ffotogallery, Bradford - Impressions Gallery, Lancashire -  Lancashire Arts Development  in Preston and Fleetwood, Middlesborough - mima and Southampton - Solent Showcase.

NEW WEBSITE

Our ACE funding has enabled us to build a brand new website and we now have a new logo and email / website address (www.thecaravangallery.photography) which will make all our information much easier to access and print sales more straightforward. It will be with us soon, so please keep checking.

SCOTLAND

We had a busy time in Aberdeenshire last year running a  month long Pride of Place Project with Deveron Arts in Huntly (http://bit.ly/1jcIkIP), and subsequently touring the shire with artist Jacques Coetzer (http://www.jacquescoetzer.co.za) for Aberdeenshire Ways (http://bit.ly/UFczlY), a project about regional identity. Books about each project will be available soon.

UPCOMING

We're looking forward to Caravanning in our usual spot in the Bluecoat courtyard for the opening weekend of  Liverpool Biennial (http://bit.ly/1ws22IA) from July 4th - 6th.

We then move to Glasgow at the invitation of Street Level Photoworks where we will be part of the Commonwealth Games Festival 14 programme (http://bit.ly/1jL1aH5). The Caravan Gallery will visit a variety of locations around Glasgow and the games sites from July 20th to August 3rd.

LONDON

We are thrilled to be invited back to the National Theatre Watch this Space Festival (http://bit.ly/1qu758v). As well as exhibiting in The Caravan Gallery we will be delivering the morning service at St John's  (http://bit.ly/1ru4vzs). Come and see us between Friday 29th August and Sunday 31st August.

APOLOGIES

Finally we'd like to apologise for being so slack on the newsletter front. 2013 was our busiest year ever with LOOK/13 Liverpool International Photography Festival, our Merseystyle exhibition at the Museum of Liverpool and Pride of Place Projects in Liverpool and New Brighton (http://bit.ly/1qGQh0p). We'll be adding documentation to the new website in due course.
