How might we inspire young people to cultivate their creative confidence?

Our new Creative Confidence Challenge has just gone live – how are you planning to share it with your students? Catch these tips and resources to get going:

Join Us on OpenIDEO
Our new Creative Confidence Challenge is up and running! If you haven't checked out the Brief, head over to learn more about our challenge. Then, be sure to visit our Inspiration phase – already brimming with personal insights and inspiring stories.

The Inspiration phase can be a bit confusing sometimes, especially when it's so easy (and fun!) to jump to ideas. Think of it as our research phase: how might you help your students learn more about creative confidence? For starters, share Tom and David Kelley's challenge introduction video or suggest they try our Inspiration Interview Toolkit. Eager for more? Check this run-down on other ways to prep for Inspiration in-class.

Introducing Our Educator Hangout Series
While we want to share what we've learned about OpenIDEO and education, we want to hear from you too. To enable this two-way conversation, we're hosting regular online hangouts. Last week Ashley from OpenIDEO and Anne-Laure from NYU-Poly kicked off our hangout series – have a look.

G
oing forward we want to open up these conversations so you can ask questions and share what you're learning. Our next hangout is planned for October 1st at 10am Pacific. Spots for this live chat are limited so be sure to RSVP. If you can't make it, not to worry – we'll share the link with you when it's live.

Partner Shout-Out: Connected Educators Month
The mission of the Connected Educators initiative is to help educators thrive in a connected world. October is Connected Educators Month and the theme is helping districts promote and integrate online social learning in their formal professional development. Learn more about CEM and check out the CEM calendar of events to get started.

As always, you can find even more resources and answers in our Educator Forum. See you on OpenIDEO!

Cheers,
The OpenIDEO Team
