Growing Together in Oakhurst
Oakhurst Church officially launched public worship on August 7 @11AM and we were overwhelmed by the incredible response we received from the community. And over the last 7 Sundays we have been thrilled to week after week see so many new faces, meet so many new people, develop new friendships and dream about the future of our burgeoning community. So if you are new to our church (which most of us are), welcome! If you have been journeying with and working alongside us throughout this last year, THANK YOU! We continue to be so humbled and blessed by what God is doing among us and we are so excited to see what is yet to come. God is with us in Oakhurst. So let us pray that God will continue to bless us and lead us as we move forward on the journey ahead!

New Children's Ministry Director
Join us Tuesday evening, Sept. 27 from 7:30PM-8:30PM as we warmly welcome our new Children's Ministry Director Lani Martz over light refreshments at the church. You can read her bio by clicking HERE. The Oakhurst Team is THRILLED to have her as our newest addition. Lani, her husband Matthew and their three children live in Oakhurst and are so grateful to have found this wonderful neighborhood. They are passionate about reaching the children in the Oakhurst community with the message of God's incredible Love. |
Volunteers Needed
We need volunteers for children's ministry, people to light candles before service, folks to setup and cleanup the elements for Communion, greeters, folks to run the sound board, and volunteers to run the lights and projector screen. A House Party!

New Nursery Staff
Be sure to welcome our new nursery care provider Morgan Stanley on Sunday. With a passion for babies and extensive experience, Morgan will provide us with excellent care for our youngest children week in and week out.

4th Friday Vespers
On the fourth friday evening of each month (September 23rd@7PM) we gather for an evening worship service of prayer, music and Eucharist. This is a contemplative service focused on centering prayer, meditation and other changing creative worship elements. If you long for a time to reflect through silence, nourish your heart through prayer, and feed your soul through Eucharist, then you should give Vespers a chance.

Serve our Kids
Join us as we support our community by providing kids activities Saturday, October 8 during the Oakhurst Arts & Music Festival. In addition to providing a bouncy house, we are also seeking volunteers to help with face painting, refreshments and other activities from 9AM-1PM. Email Lani at lani@oakhurstchurch.com to sign up for one or both of the shifts (9AM-11AM or 11AM-1PM). |
Oakhurst Runners
Join us on Wednesday evenings at 7PM or Saturday morning at 8:30AM to train for the Atlanta Half-Marathon (Thanksgiving day). We are running to raise awareness and support for Street Grace which is a local organization who seeks to fight the human trafficking of children in Atlanta.
