Bringing Sanity Back to Education
Feb 23, 2017 06:48 am | Stand Up For The Truth | Comments
The Trump Administration's Department of Justice announced Wednesday that it would drop an order from President Obama threatening to punish schools that did not allow transgender students to use bathrooms or shower facilities that coincide with their "perceived gender," returning at least a shred of sanity to public education. But the battle for religious freedom and sanity marches on. This morning we discuss the story of a Christian business owner who was threatened by the U.S. Department of Agriculture because he dared have articles about the biblical view on marriage in his company's break room.
In our first two segments today we talk about the "Church Growth Movement" with author and Pastor Gary Gilley who has studied this movement at length. First, what is the role of the church and its mission according to the Bible? Is bigger always better? What are the advantages and disadvantages of belonging to a mega-church? What kind of church is best and more conducive to growth for a young Christian? check out the podcast for plenty of wisdom from Pastor Gilley.

Tower of Babel 2: The March Toward Globalism
Feb 22, 2017 05:49 am | Stand Up For The Truth | Comments
Just like humanity's efforts in building the Tower of Babel that God destroyed, mankind is once again on a journey to proclaim itself "god". Led by the United Nations and globalist economic, social and military forces, Progressives are determined to unite the world and form their version of "paradise" where mankind is unfettered by any constraints of God or His Word.
Gary Kah of hope for the World has studied the globalist movement for more than thirty years and joins us this morning for an update.

Why Does God Compare People To Sheep?
Feb 21, 2017 11:00 am | Stand Up For The Truth | Comments
Many of us want to believe we are strong, independent, intelligent, adventurous, and even invincible. In the Bible however, God compares us to sheep - over and over. Not a flattering comparison, but there are many reasons for this. First, since we are the sheep of His pasture, we are dependent on Him. We also have a Good Shepherd who feeds us and tends to our needs.
If we dwell in the shelter God provides, and if we abide in the shadow of the Almighty as Psalm 91:1 suggests, then we are protected. When we stay close enough to Jesus our Shepherd, we can rest in His shadow and grow in His presence. Our responsibility is to stay close to Him, keep listening to His voice, and to not stray. Though we often follow many people and things in this life, we were made to follow after God, our Leader.

The Battle for Truth in Church and Culture
Feb 20, 2017 11:00 am | Stand Up For The Truth | Comments
We must be undaunted in establishing God’s Word as the basis of our thinking, our faith, and our lives. There are many within the church who do not believe God's Word in its entirety and do not believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. Truth is on the line here as we try to navigate a godless and rapidly changing culture.
