Forward Calls When Out of Office

Working from home?  Running out of the office a little early?  Don't let life get in the way of your productivity - ShoreTel features simple external call forwarding so you can be sure never to miss an important call, even if you're away from your desk.

To Configure and Enable Call Forwarding:
1.    In Communicator, select Tools > Options
2.    Choose Extension Assignment
3.    Under External Number enter 9+ <your external phone number>
4.    Click OK to save
5.    To turn call forwarding on when you leave your desk:
       a.    In Communicator, find the drop-down in the upper left corner labeled "Primary Phone"
       b.    Click the drop-down menu to open it
       c.    Select "Extension Assignment" to enable forwarding
       d.    To disable call forwarding, change the drop-down back to "Primary Phone"

System-Wide Automatic Call Routing

The ShoreTel Call Router application will automatically route calls to a designated extension or external number based on the incoming phone number or Caller ID. While the Professional Call Manager provides this function for individual extensions, the Call Router application will configure these options for the entire system.
