New Executive Committee Announced
At the recent AGA Annual Meeting held February 5 at Phoenix Country Club, the 2015 AGA Executive Committee were installed.

Retiring Executive Committee Members were Jeff Zieky - Desert Mountain and Dick Haugland - Moon Valley CC who will now join other past presidents on the Council of Past Presidents.

Simmons Honored with Updegraff Award
Warren Simmons from Arizona Country Club and Forest Highlands was presented with the Ed Updegraff Award at the recent AGA Annual Awards Dinner at Phoenix Country Club. According to Warren, the highlight of the evening was playing golf with Dr. Ed that afternoon at Arizona Country Club and having him present the award.

...Austin Quick, Arizona native and former member of the ASU golf team, for qualifying to compete on the PGA Latin Tour in South America. 115 competitors played the La Planacie Golf Course in Lima, Peru where 30 were given tour cards. Austin shot 74-72-70-71 to finish tied for 21st.

2015 Uniting Nations Cup
In 2015, the UNC series will be played in two locations in Mexico: Iberostar's Playa Paraiso Golf Club, Riviera Maya in Cancun (May 13-17) and the Peninsula Golf Course in Rocky Point (Oct. 22-25). The UNC is a competition in which 80 amateurs of all skill levels from the United States and Mexico play three days of match play in hopes to bringing home the title for their country. Team USA holds the most wins, at 3-1.
Registration for the May event is now open...all-inclusive hotel packages begin at $1,250 US per person and include golf, hotel, all on-site food & beverage (alcohol included) and hotel activities.

2015 Senior Series Schedule
The 2015 Senior Series events are now posted and eligible for signup. Don't wait too long because these events fill up fast. Scheduled sites include Falcon Dunes, Sewailo GC, Arrowhead CC, Talking Rock GC, Desert Highlands, Blackstone CC, Superstition Mountain, Ambiente GC, Phoenix CC and The Gallery GC. The season-ending Championship will be hosted by Encanterra CC on September 21, 2015.
