It's National Engineering Month
We recently found this great video, What is Engineering, on YouTube. With National Engineering Month in full swing, there is still time to find an event near you! As the weather (hopefully) starts to warm up, thoughts turn to summer for college and university students - a chance to get out and apply the skills they are learning in their classes. While they are away, campuses come alive with experience programs for younger students, and Queens is no exception. Registration is almost open for our new EngWAY program! EngWAY for grades 7/8
Engineering Week for Aboriginal Youth, May 20-23
Our new program for students in grades 7 and 8 is gearing up for registration! This year, EngWAY will feature a course called Ancestral Engineering and Modern Applications, designed to introduce the profession of engineering to Aboriginal youth in a culturally relevant context. Students arrive on campus May 20, spending three nights in residence at Queen's. Additional workshops by the staff at Four Directions Aboriginal Student Centre and fun extracurriculars with the ENrichment Studies team will make this an amazing experience.
