Starry Night by RyGuyWy

Star Lake Night

Open the door and step onto the porch.
The night may well be spread before you.
The stars may lie in the water.
The fox cry may waken you to dreams.

The night may well be spread before you,
or mounded clouds obscure the dark.
The fox cry may waken you to dreams,
or frighten you to sleep once more.

The mounded clouds may obscure the dark.
Clouded, you may stand abandoned.
Frightened, you may sleep once more.
Your only surety is risk.

Clouded, you may stand abandoned.
The stars may lie in the water.
Your only surety is risk.
Open the door and step onto the porch.
