"New Year" Resolutions!
By Caroline
Welcome back! I hope your summer was lovely. Mine was too short, as it seems to have become in the last few years.
For many of us, this is the start of a new school year and a time to readjust schedules once again. While I was walking back from the bus stop, I noticed the duality of my emotions. On one hand, I was feeling lonely (after all, I just spent two and a half months mostly dedicated to my daughter) and, on the other, I was thrilled to finally be able to spend the days according to my schedule. There is so much to catch up on, clean, organize and so many people to reconnect with … while continuing to work as well.
If you feel like this, you probably have a surge of energy while at the same time feel overwhelmed and a little lost … all very normal. So, give yourself a break, take it one step at a time, do what’s needed first and don’t forget to include YOU in your daily schedule.
I am looking at September as the start of my year, and I am now creating my “new year resolutions!” One of my priorities is to keep the fragile balance between work, life, family and … ME. In order to have my life function the way I want, I first need to be powerfully self-expressed. It’s an everyday decision and it demands intention, but it fuels me and allows me to create my life in the moment. In other words, I take care of myself in order to be fulfilled and empowered, and that allows me to give more freely to others. The more expressed I am, the happier I am, the bigger difference I can make around me and the better of a person I become.
So, what are your “new year” resolutions?
