Student Testing
This spring, Colorado will implement a new system of student testing. These tests will be different and will yield different results than previous state required tests (like CSAP or TCAP). This memo is to brief you on the changes and what our students should expect from Dr. Jason Glass, Superintendent & Chief Learner.

The Eagle River Youth Coalition's next Dinner and Dialogue is on March 10th at Colorado Mountain College in Edwards from 6-8pm.  The topic will be on Substance Abuse & The Effects on the Developing Brain. Please RSVP at to Jason Peck or call 970-949-9250. 
The next National ACT test date is April 18th and the registration deadline is March 13th.  All Juniors will take the State ACT on April 28th at VSSA but it will not include the writing portion of the exam.  Students who have been focusing on ACT test prep may want to sign up for the April 13th test date and take the writing portion of this exam. Now's a great time to begin thinking about summer plans.  Can you fit in time to volunteer, participate in an internship, explore a new passion, visit colleges?  Maybe you want to participate in a summer pre-collegiate program on the college campus of your dreams.  Many applications for these programs open this month.  For an overview of some of these top programs click here.
