Hello!

Its December and B!KE is still hopping! Seems to us like more people than ever are eager to ride into the "off-season". Hooray for winter riders! If that last sentence makes you cringe a little, read on for some upcoming events that might help you feel a little more comfortable on two wheels despite the snow. Once you get the feel for it winter is as sweet as a freshly regressed hub (maybe not as smooth...).

Don't forget! Winter is the perfect time to come overhaul your summertime rides. Don't cry while you wait in line for a stand come April. Tune your road bike to perfection this winter so you can ride joyously into the first day of spring.

Winter Bike Fashion Show & Movie Night

Weds. Dec. 7th, 7 - 9 p.m.

Join us for what promises to be an entertaining evening of balaclavas, beer, and bicycles! We bring you a "runway" show to share about clothing that helps keep you comfortable on your ride, and a series of short films to keep you enthusiastic about it! Join in on the runway or just come to learn.

Glow Ride: Holiday Lights Winter Edition

December 22nd, 5 p.m. onward...

Lets decorate our bikes with lights and then go ride around to see more lights! Decorating starts at 5. Ride leaves at 6:30. We provide some glowsticks and blinkies. Home Hardware has battery powered LED strings for $7. Family friendly! Share the word!

Gift Certificates

At long last!

You've asked for them. We made them. Its now easier than ever for you to share the B!KE love with someone else! Gift Certificates will be available as of Wedensday Decemeber 7th and can be purchased in any denomination. A holiday gift for a friend or family member who loves bicycles.

Winter Riding Skills

Saturday January 14th 10:30 a.m.

Winter riding could probably be summarized with "slow down and stay loose". For a bit more in-depth take on it, join us in this workshop. Experienced winter riders Tegan and Charlie will offer some tips and drills that could help you become a more confident winter rider. Please RSVP via email tegan@communitybikeshop.org

Holiday Closure

B!KE will be closed from December 24th to Jaunary 3rd

Just in case you wern't already feeling inconvenienced by holiday travel and familial obligation... You also won't be able to fix your bike over the holidays. The last day of Open Shop for 2016 is December 21st. We are open for Retail & DIY December 22nd and 23rd. Open Shop kicks off again on January 3rd!
