Season’s Greetings from the Parker Alumni Association!
Dear alumni and friends,
Happy holidays from Parker University to you and yours! I hope your December is off to a great start, as it is here at the Parker Alumni Association home base. Heading into a new year, we're excited to get back in touch with all of you at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for next month's Alumni Reception (RSVP) to let us know you'll be there!). In this month's newsletter, you'll find news on the latest happenings in the alumni community, what's been happening throughout the university, and a rundown of all the great 2015 events that many of you graciously volunteered your time and energy to support.
Also, if you haven't yet already, be sure to like Parker University on Facebook and follow Parker University on Twitter – we'll be sure to keep you in the loop between newsletters of all you need to know!
In loving service,
Donna L. Wald

 | Parker University at the Dallas Marathon
Congratulations to all alumni and to Dallas Marathon winner Dr. Logan Sherman - class of 2013.
This was Parker University’s fifth year participating in the Dallas Marathon. Parker volunteers manned water tables, heat wrap stations, and provided expertise and services both at the marathon and its related events. We also had 37 runners compete in various events this year, with 13 going the full distance!

 | Congratulations to DC class of December 2015!
Kudos to the graduates crossing the stage this December. 2015 grads were true Parker Pioneers. They initiated research, started new organizations, inaugurated new programs, and, like the pioneers of old, had to ford some floods during Texas’ wettest year on record.
We’re very happy to be welcoming them to the alumni community and look forward to reporting news on their accomplishments!

Alasha Young, Tri-5
Alasha Young is a Tri-5 student and did her undergraduate work at The University of Oklahoma. She was born in Springfield, Missouri, but shortly after moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She has many family members that are chiropractors, including her father. She grew up thinking that she wanted to be a chiropractor, but made her decision as a sophomore at the University of Oklahoma when she started the pre-chiropractic program and club. She enjoys being involved on campus and currently is the Adjust Club vice president, Next Level student ambassador, Adjusting Ninjas facilitator, Student ICA speaker outreach, and Student FOCUS ambassador. Following graduation she wants to open up a family practice in Oklahoma City and specialize in pediatrics and prenatal chiropractic.

After Hours Clinic Visits
The After Hours Clinic Visit Program is an opportunity for committed alumni to graciously open their clinics to current Parker students. The program is geared toward facilitating a casual atmosphere for students to visit local clinics, ask questions about office billing, and begin to envision what their future practice may look like. Students love to hear from Parker grads first-hand about the business aspects of starting and owning a clinic. We would like to send out a special round of thanks to the following:
Dr. Courtney Gowin
|
|
Dr. Bryan Clay & Dr. Caleb Braddock
|
|
Dr. Camille Reagan
