InSphero Publishes 3D Osteosarcoma Model

Metastatic osteosarcoma is fatal within 5 years of diagnosis for ~80% of patients, driving the need for more effective therapies.  Our recent publication in the Journal of Biotechnology used 3D tumor microtissues from osteosarcoma cell lines to reveal stark differences in drug efficacy between 2D and 3D cultured cells.  Get the abstract.

Genentech, InSphero to Present at FAST Congress

Join us for the 2nd Annual Functional Analysis and Screening Technologies (FAST) Congress, held in Boston Nov 17-19.  Dr. William Proctor from Genentech will present tox screening results using 3D Human Liver Microtissues, and Dr. Jens Kelm from InSphero will present the latest phenotypic screening data using 3D InSight™ microtissue models.  Read the abstracts.

The transatlantic think tank for toxicology (t4) released their final roadmap on the future of animal-free systemic toxicity testing.  The report defines initiatives to substitute integrated in vitro and in silico approaches for current animal-based testing, with the goal of collecting data for all chemicals and important mixtures.  Read the full report.
