Dr Michael Birchall (Liverpool John Moores University & Tate Liverpool), Professor Julie Sheldon (LJMU), Gabriel Gee (Franklin University, Switzerland and author of Art in the North of England, 1979-2008) and Anjalie Dalal-Clayton (Black Artists and Modernism project) join Public View curator Bryan Biggs.

PHYSICAL THEATRE & CHARACTER MASK WORKSHOP
In this workshop we will spend the first half of the day with Tmesis exploring the expressive body, ensemble and partner work through improvisation and play. The second half will focus on character full masks with Simone Tani, exploring how to tell a story without words, using the body to convey emotions and intentions, unlocking creativity and discovering new potentials as a performer. Tmesis Theatre are one of the UK’s leading physical theatre companies creating touring work and running Liverpool’s annual physical theatre festival, Physical Fest. Simone Tani is an Ecole Phillipe Gaulier Graduate and a member of Teatro Pomodoro. He has taught mask work all over the world.
