Happy New Year
While this year certainly wasn’t a normal one, we do have a lot to be grateful for. This year, we saw the return of live events, including our favorite Japanese Festivals in St. Louis and Springfield, Missouri. We also traveled to Tennessee, where we participated in the Memphis Japan Festival celebrations for the first time!
Our studio-based taiko classes also resumed this year. We've had an enthusiastic group of students with a range of experience levels, all ready to play. The fall session wrapped up this month with a recital for family and friends. Joined by a few performing members, our students performed Hanabi, which means “fireworks.” With its swingy rhythm and energetic choreography, it’s a favorite piece and we are so impressed with how much our students learned. Great job everyone!

Now, we look ahead to the New Year and continuing to share our love of taiko with the community. We thank you for all your support and encouragement throughout the year, and we can’t wait to see you in 2022. We wish you a safe, happy, and healthy New Year!
